The kite we need to let go of

Satri, a village based on mountains with hills and farm lands all around. There lived Arun, a notorious teen who loved flying kites and running around.
He had a beautiful red striped kite with silk threads at the corners borrowed from his amma's pooja place. Everyday he waited for the perfect wind to arrive, and when it came Arun was thrilled with happiness. He asked his amma for permission to go out and went supersonic when she said 'yes'.
As he was going out he saw people returning to their homes but Arun was determined. The image of his kite flying above all was making him excited and thrilled.
He took out the manjha roll and in an instant the kite was flying in the air like a free little bird.

The clouds appeared which changed the daylight into a much gloomy tone.Slowly the wind paced up and the manjha started to cause cuts and bruises over Arun's finger. His enjoyment converted into torture and now he started regretting his decision. To save his kite from damage he ran in the direction of the wind. All he wanted to do was to return home safely with his kite but then he tripped and sprained his ankle. He screamed in agony and this led to him letting go of the manjha, his eyes teared up as he waited so many days for this exact weather but now everything was gone.
Seeing his kite flying away was devastating. After looking at the kite for a long time he looked down. His mind was filled with a horror. He was at the edge of a cliff. He realised how stupid he was, to go Extreme for a kite's sake.
He stood up and went for his home , where his dreams and happiness lies.
The red winged kite faded away and a free bird came out of Arun's heart.
Letting go of relationships, objects, toxicity and many other things opens up doors to reach freedom, through which one can achieve true self.
As humans we are bound to attach and exist but sooner or later the fear of loss surrounds us. it's better to realise and acknowledge that letting go of negativity is not necessarily about stoicism but it's about self care.
Just let your kites go!
